Guest Post and Giveaway: Landra Graf: Let Me Tell You The Why

First up: Thank you Amanda for hosting me on your blog today!

This blog title is a phrase my day job boss says all the time. I like it. The very words breathe transparency, honesty, and build faith that you’re being given the whole story instead of being yanked by a chain. So, I’m going to give you the why on my writing.

It started with poems, and then built to grandiose ideas of half-demon/half-human girls who were going to fight the devil in middle school, and ended with partially writing/plotting two different books in high school. From there I had two children, a college experience, and writing slipped to the wayside. After I finished my degrees I finished one of those plotted books from high school, and then stuffed it in the drawer. My creativity sparked, the re-awakening of my earlier writing dreams came to life once more. It’s been on my mind ever since—write, finish, edit, and publish. I want to share these crazy ideas with others, inspire thoughts and emotional response. Today I can say I reached the first finish line. Now, it’s time to reassess the goals and strive for the golden ring.

At the end of the day the why is because I love to. I can’t imagine a feeling greater then typing those initial creative ideas of a story, struggling through a particular tough scene, reaching the climactic moment when all is revealed or finished with ‘The End’. Writing possesses the parts of me I can’t share with anyone else, giving those thoughts a chance to transform and become something more than a simple idea.

I’ll end this with an awesome quote from Truman Capote: To me, the greatest pleasure of writing is not what’s about, but the inner music the words make.

Blurb:

A sexual submissive, Royce wants a woman who’ll make his fantasies come true. The last thing he expects on his 1Night Stand is to be paired with Victoria, his ex-best friend.  Haunted by their past, he refuses to deny his newfound attraction or his need for answers.  This time, he doesn’t plan to let her go.

Victoria has loved Royce forever, but the sting of his rejection is not so easily forgotten. No longer the naïve girl he knew, she’s matured into a sexual dominant. This domme demands a chance to restart their relationship—on her terms. Knowing that one night will never be enough, she plans a seduction that will last forever.
